Microsoft Research, the Moscow State University and the Program Systems Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences are pleased to announce their first jointly organized Russian Summer School for High Performance and Parallel computing for computational science and engineering.
The Summer School will take place at Lomonosov Moscow State University, in the faculty of computational mathematics and cybernetics (CMC) 19th-25th of July.
Main goal of the first joint Moscow State University and Microsoft Research computing school in Russia is to offer to the best students from the leading universities in the country a unique opportunity to learn about the latest developments in computing on the subjects of the school.
Top scientists from Russia and abroad will teach a one week intensive course with formal lectures in the morning and practical exercises in the afternoon. An exam will take place at the end of the weekand certificates issued to all.
It won't all be study time, social events will also be organised, among them, an afternoon visit of the major historical sites in Moscow and a final dinner cruise on the river.
The scientific programme of the school is put together by an international programme committee chaired by: Prof. Lev Korolyov (Moscow State University), Dr. Burton Smith (Microsoft Corporation) and Prof. Sergei Abramov (Program Systems Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences).MSU
Moscow State University was established in 1755.

Summer is a very nice season to visit Moscow. It gets pretty warm during summer season. In Moscow, for example, it is not surprising to have summer temperature about 30C (86F).
